Swan has always been curious about people.
The ones she knows. The ones she loves.
And, perhaps most of all, the ones she has never met.
Photography gave that curiosity somewhere to go.
It took her to weddings and quiet rooms.
Across cities and unfamiliar streets.
She stopping people on the street, during the trip.
A photograph. A small print. A handwritten note.
Some happened without a shared language.
Some became stories she still carries with her.
The photographs she loved most,
were never just about how things looked.
They were about people.
The way someone looks at the person they love.
The expression that disappears a second later.
The ordinary things we rarely think to remember.
